Ground Service Equipment Maintenance Technician

About the role

Join Swissport as a Ground Service Equipment (GSE) Maintenance Technician and play a vital part in keeping airport operations running smoothly. You will maintain and repair the GSE fleet, ensuring safety and efficiency for daily airport activities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on the airport GSE fleet.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Maintain detailed maintenance records, equipment logs and repair reports.
• Manage spare parts inventory and ensure timely availability for repairs.
• Collaborate with the Fleet Maintenance Coordinator and Airport Managers to prioritise maintenance schedules and conduct quality inspections on returned assets.

Required profile

• Heavy Vehicle Trade Qualification (essential).
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in heavy vehicle, plant or equipment fleet management.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and solve problems.
• Familiarity with Maintenance Management Systems such as Maximo is preferred.
