Greek-Speaking Aged Care Worker (Part-Time and Casual)

About the role

The Greek Community Home for the Aged, an initiative of the Greek Orthodox Community of NSW, is looking for a Greek-speaking Aged Care Worker in Earlwood, NSW. Vacancies are available across morning, afternoon and night shifts, with part-time and casual opportunities. You will support the physical, emotional, social and spiritual wellbeing of residents, working alongside nursing and care teams to deliver person-centred care.

Key responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living and personal care
• Provide mobility support and promote independence and dignity
• Work with nursing and care teams to tailor care to each resident's needs
• Contribute to a safe, welcoming and engaging environment

Required profile

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent qualification
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Previous experience in residential aged care preferred
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain one
• Ability to communicate effectively in Greek (essential)

Required skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Understanding of person-centred care principles
• Knowledge of and sensitivity to the needs of people living with dementia
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
