Graphic Designer – Commercial Team (Pharma Packaging)

About the role

Medsurge Healthcare is seeking a Graphic Designer to join its Commercial team. The role will develop high‑quality visual assets for marketing, corporate communications, and regulated pharmaceutical packaging, ensuring brand consistency and compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Design creative assets for print and digital channels, including marketing collateral, campaigns, presentations, and corporate communications.
• Create, update, and manage pharmaceutical packaging artwork such as primary pack labels, secondary cartons, and product information documents.
• Ensure all artwork meets regulatory, quality, and brand standards.
• Translate briefs into visually engaging concepts aligned with commercial objectives.
• Manage artwork approval processes, coordinating cross‑functional review and sign‑off with Regulatory Affairs and other stakeholders.
• Act as a brand guardian, maintaining consistency and quality across all design outputs.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Regulatory, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to ensure accurate and compliant execution of marketing and product artwork.
• Continuously improve design asset management processes and systems.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in graphic design or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in graphic design, preferably within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
• Proven experience creating pharmaceutical packaging artwork, including primary and secondary packaging.
• Strong understanding of regulatory considerations in artwork development (e.g., TGA or equivalent).
• Highly organised with excellent time‑management and attention to detail, especially in regulated environments.
• Creative, collaborative, and solutions‑focused with a commitment to high‑quality work.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop.
