Graduate Structural Engineer

About the role

Robert Bird Group (RBG) is seeking enthusiastic Graduate Structural Engineers to join its Sydney structures and construction engineering team. This graduate program offers exposure to complex building projects across Australia and the chance to develop a long‑term career in structural engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the delivery of major industry and community projects.
• Assist in preparing proposals, technical reports and other project documentation.
• Collaborate with supportive colleagues through a buddy system.
• Participate in industry events and networking opportunities.
• Engage in both in‑person and online training workshops covering client consulting, time management and engineering best practices.

Required profile

• Final‑year university student or graduate within the past two years.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication abilities.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
• Effective time‑ and workload‑management skills.
• Developed knowledge of analytical methods, tools and engineering principles.
