Graduate Product Tester

About the role

Kogan is looking for an inquisitive, solutions-focused graduate to join its Product Testing team and help drive the Kogan.com customer experience. Product Testers conduct usability testing on a wide range of products and report accurately on quality and safety in line with Kogan.com and Australian industry standards. This is a stepping stone into a career with longevity and continual development, offering exposure to how a growing, ASX-listed business operates.

Key responsibilities

• Complete usability testing on a wide range of electrical and non-electrical products
• Disassemble products and write formal reports evaluating build quality, component quality and suitability of components
• Share reports and findings with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers
• Advise on the relevant AS/NZS standards for tested products
• Suggest improvements and changes to products under evaluation or in the existing range
• Collaborate with other departments to find solutions and fixes for identified problems
• Work with the product and Support teams to confirm issues are resolved in updated samples and software
• Keep the testing area clean and free of occupational health and safety hazards

Required profile

• University degree in a relevant field such as Mechanical, Electronic or Electrical Engineering or similar
• Previous internship or work experience in product testing is highly regarded
• Exceptional problem solver with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable building effective relationships through clear communication
• Ready to work within a highly disruptive business model

Required skills

• Tech-savvy, able to use cloud-based tools in daily work to improve efficiency
• Ability to use various cloud-based tools to improve productivity
