Graduate Mechanical Engineer – Sydney

About the role

DBS is seeking a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join its modern Sydney CBD office. Reporting to the Associate of Mechanical, you will contribute to mechanical services across the project life‑cycle, delivering client‑centric technical solutions for workplace and commercial projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop efficient mechanical designs that meet client budgets and expectations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to produce coordinated, buildable solutions.
• Maintain strong relationships with designers, builders, and consultants.
• Perform heat‑load calculations for workplace fit‑outs and support project delivery across Australia.

Required profile

• Relevant Mechanical Engineering qualification (degree or equivalent).
• Understanding of construction industry phases and delivery methods.
• At least 2 years of experience delivering projects in an engineering consultancy or similar environment.
• Experience in commercial or workplace fit‑out projects.
• Proactive attitude, strong communication, and a desire for professional growth.

Required skills

• Heat load calculations.
• Experience with Camel heat load software (or willingness to learn).
