Graduate Electrical Engineer – Generation & Storage

About the role

AECOM is seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join its Energy practice in Sydney, supporting innovative battery storage, wind and solar projects across Australia. This 2027 graduate program offers exposure to renewable energy design and project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Support engineers on active projects with calculations, reports and drawing reviews.
• Assist with entry‑level engineering tasks aligned to your skills and development goals.
• Shadow senior engineers to learn daily project work and best practices.
• Contribute to general project administration and coordination.

Required profile

• Final year or completed Bachelor’s/Postgraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Renewable Energy or related discipline.
• Strong communication, teamwork and proactive mindset.
• Ability to commence work by February 2027 (or July 2027 for mid‑year finishers).
• Full working rights in Australia or New Zealand.

Required skills

• Electrical engineering fundamentals applied to power systems and renewable energy.
• Basic proficiency in engineering calculations and technical report preparation.
