Graduate Auditors and Accountants – Multiple Positions

About the role

Nexia Australia, a network of independent accounting and advisory firms connected to the global Nexia network, is recruiting recent accounting graduates or final-year students for graduate roles in its Audit & Assurance and Business Services teams. The positions offer hands-on experience, learning from experienced professionals and support for CA/CPA study.

Key responsibilities

• Audit & Assurance: assist with financial statement audits and assurance engagements, review financial information, transactions and internal controls, and develop an understanding of accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Audit & Assurance: work alongside experienced auditors and engage directly with clients.
• Business Services: assist with preparing financial statements and income tax returns, and prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS) and other compliance reports.
• Business Services: work with accounting software and cloud-based technology, and support experienced accountants in giving practical advice to clients.

Required profile

• Recently completed, or nearly completing, a degree in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline.
• Strong attention to detail and an analytical mindset.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, and a willingness to learn, ask questions and take initiative.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team; previous accounting experience is not essential.
• An interest in pursuing a CA or CPA qualification.
