Grader Operator – Emerald Maintenance Crew

About the role

Central Highlands Regional Council is seeking an experienced Grader Operator to join the Emerald Maintenance Rural Crew. This full‑time, permanent position involves operating plant equipment and performing labour duties to maintain roads and town facilities across the Central Highlands region.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a grader and associated plant equipment on road construction and maintenance projects.
• Assist with the upkeep of town infrastructure and rural job sites.
• Work on‑site in remote locations, including staying in camp when required.
• Perform general labour tasks to support the maintenance crew.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in grader operation within a road construction or maintenance environment.
• Willingness to work on rural sites and stay in camp as needed.
• Previous experience in the civil construction industry.
• Current Queensland Class HR Drivers Licence.
• Statement of Attainment or ticket for Grader Operations.
• Statement of Attainment or ticket for Roller Operations (or ability to obtain).
• Construction White Card.
