Grade 2 Registered Nurse - Geriatric Evaluation and Management Unit

About the role

The Geriatric Evaluation and Management (GEM) Unit at St Georges Hospital in Kew provides specialised care for older people, focusing on comprehensive interdisciplinary assessment and management of medical, physical, psychological and social issues associated with ageing. It sits within SVHM's Subacute & Community Services, a key clinical program of St Vincent's Health Australia. The unit is looking for a Grade 2 Registered Nurse to join its nursing team, which is central to the success of the wider interdisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Work with a collaborative, supportive and highly functioning interdisciplinary team.
• Lead and develop clinical nursing practice.
• Provide holistic care to older persons, supporting them throughout their care journey.

Required profile

• Suitably qualified and experienced Registered Nurse with a background in sub-acute or acute care.
• Current Nursing Registration with AHPRA.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with all members of the interdisciplinary team.
• Previous clinical experience is desirable.
• Ability to meet mandatory vaccination requirements, including a Victorian government direction on COVID-19 vaccination.
