Grade 1 Occupational Therapist

About the role

St Vincent's Private Hospital Melbourne (SVPHM) is looking for a Grade 1 Occupational Therapist to join its Allied Health department at the East Melbourne campus. The role is full-time, includes a weekend day every fortnight and supports a caseload of mostly rehabilitation patients with primarily orthopaedic conditions. The therapist works with patients to help them reach their goals and maximise their functional independence.

Required profile

• Some previous experience as an Occupational Therapist
• Ability to deliver effective, patient-centred, goal-oriented treatment
• Skilled in clinical reasoning and caseload management
• Flexible and efficient team player, able to adapt to a variety of settings
• Able to complete individual assessments and group interventions
• Able to identify clinical risk and implement strategies to minimise it
