GP Recruitment and Engagement Advisor

About the role

Reporting to the National GP Engagement Manager, this relationship-focused role covers the GP recruitment and engagement journey, from attracting and engaging candidates through onboarding, commencement and ongoing support. It suits someone who enjoys recruitment, stakeholder engagement and working closely with healthcare professionals. The role is based in Brisbane, Melbourne or Adelaide with hybrid working, and requires interstate and intrastate travel to clinics, GPs and events.

Key responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with prospective GPs, source candidates through channels, networks and direct outreach, and screen applications and run phone interviews
• Develop recruitment campaigns aligned with clinic workforce needs, support clinic and GP matching, and work with recruitment agencies and partners
• Represent Better Medical at conferences, Clinical Update Days and other GP engagement events
• Manage candidate communication from enquiry to onboarding, coordinate the first six months of relationship management and hypercare, and run check-ins and milestone reviews with new GPs
• Coordinate support with internal stakeholders, manage phone and email support channels, and monitor GP integration, engagement, patient growth and recruitment pipeline activity
• Analyse recruitment and workforce data to identify trends and support GP retention and engagement

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in GP engagement, stakeholder or relationship management; recruitment, attraction and retention experience highly regarded
• Understanding of General Practice operations and administration, or similar healthcare experience
• Experience supporting onboarding, engagement, retention or workforce programs
• Strong relationship-building, analytical and communication skills, and ability to work autonomously within a national team

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM platforms, recruitment systems, reporting tools and Microsoft Office
