Governance Officer

About the role

We are looking for a highly organised Governance Officer to join the Legal team at Frasers Property Australia in Rhodes. Working hybrid (three days onsite, two days remote), you will support the Governance Manager in meeting corporate legal and governance obligations across our Australian subsidiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain corporate records and manage ASIC and GEMS filings for all entities, including trust creation, winding up, and annual cross‑guarantee filings.
• Coordinate quarterly committee meetings, prepare agendas and papers via the Nasdaq BoardVantage portal, and draft minutes, resolutions and final meeting documents for Group Management and Finance Committees.
• Assist in developing and updating governance policies, procedures and templates, staying current with legislative changes.
• Handle operational legal tasks such as insurance compliance, licence and business name renewals, and bank guarantee administration.
• Provide administrative support to the Governance Manager and Legal team, including mailbox management, calendar upkeep, DocuSign processing, purchase order creation and vendor invoice coordination.

Required profile

• Degree in Law, Economics, Accounting or a related field.
• 2–3 years experience in board administration or a similar corporate governance role, with proven ASIC filing experience.
• Resourceful, self‑motivated professional with high integrity, confidentiality and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and intermediate Excel.
• Experience with DocuSign, BoardVantage, Diligent and SAP.
