About the role
Jacobs is expanding its Geospatial Services capability across Australia and the region, working on projects in transport, resources, water and environmental sectors. Based in Perth, this GIS Consultant role leads the delivery of geospatial solutions on a major WA digital twin initiative and with clients across Western Australia and beyond, combining technical expertise, project delivery and client engagement.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate the planning, management and delivery of geospatial projects to meet client requirements
- Contribute to business development and help build and maintain a strong project pipeline
- Provide technical support across GIS, spatial data management and geospatial solution delivery
- Apply and support the use of ESRI technologies and geospatial platforms across project delivery
- Collaborate with clients, partners and multidisciplinary teams to achieve successful project outcomes
- Support the development and continuous improvement of GIS products, services and delivery approaches
- Contribute to project commercial performance, ensuring projects are delivered effectively and efficiently
Required profile
- Degree qualification in Geospatial Science, GIS, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline
- Experience delivering GIS, geospatial or data-driven solutions in a consulting, technical or client-focused environment
- Familiarity with FME and its use in data transformation, automation and integration
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Required skills
- Knowledge of the ESRI suite, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online (AGOL), ArcGIS Enterprise/Portal, web mapping and geoprocessing services
- Knowledge of Python or other development languages applied in geospatial workflows
- Understanding of spatial data structures, databases and data management principles
