General Worker

About the role

We are looking for a reliable General Worker to join our team at the Moregrove Quarry in Gqeberha. The role involves supporting daily operations, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and assisting with basic machinery tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out daily pre‑start inspection checks on equipment and the work area.
• Keep the quarry and surrounding areas clean and orderly.
• Assist with routine maintenance and minor repairs on plant machinery.
• Maintain safety standards and promptly report any issues to the supervisor.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and take on additional tasks as required.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 education.
• Literacy and functional numeracy.
• Basic knowledge of machinery and ability to work under pressure.
• Good eyesight and hearing, able to recognise alarms and normal site sounds.
• Reliability, honesty, motivation and a strong safety‑conscious attitude.
• Medical fitness in accordance with the Mine Health and Safety Act.
• Willingness to work irregular hours, including night shifts.

• Machinery operation (basic).
