General Practitioner – Primary Care (ADF)

About the role

The position is for a General Practitioner delivering high‑quality primary care to Australian Defence Force members at the Creswell Clinic, located on HMAS Creswell in Jervis Bay. You will work in a civilian, multidisciplinary environment that prioritises patient wellness and offers longer appointments without Medicare billing.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary medical care, including chronic disease and injury management.
• Conduct occupational health assessments such as fitness‑for‑duty, pre‑ and post‑deployment evaluations.
• Collaborate with nurses, mental health professionals, and physiotherapists in a team‑based setting.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and adhere to ethical, patient‑centred standards.

Required profile

• Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a General Practitioner.
• FRACGP, FACRRM or equivalent vocational registration.
• At least two years of GP experience within the past five years.
• Australian citizenship (baseline security clearance).
• Commitment to ongoing CPD and ethical practice.

Required skills

• Current CPR certification (HLTAID009).
