General Practitioner – Medicinal Cannabis & Telehealth

About the role

CanMed Group is seeking a General Practitioner to join its evidence‑based medicinal cannabis and integrative care team in Adelaide. The role offers flexible consulting arrangements, including in‑clinic and telehealth appointments, allowing you to assess patients, develop treatment plans and support chronic‑condition management across Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct in‑person and telehealth consultations with patients seeking medicinal cannabis therapy.
• Assess patient eligibility and suitability for approved cannabis treatment pathways.
• Develop, implement and monitor evidence‑based management plans for conditions such as chronic pain, insomnia, anxiety and palliative care.
• Maintain comprehensive clinical documentation and ensure continuity of care.
• Operate within TGA, AHPRA and state regulatory frameworks.
• Collaborate with pharmacists, nurses and other support staff within an integrated multidisciplinary model.

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration as a Medical Practitioner (VR or non‑VR accepted).
• Interest in medicinal cannabis and integrative healthcare.
• Strong communication skills and a patient‑centred approach.
• Ethical, evidence‑based clinical mindset.
• Willingness to engage in innovative healthcare delivery and telehealth.
