General Medicine Consultant - Major Referral Centre

About the role

Join a major regional referral hospital in Central Queensland as a Staff Specialist in General Medicine. This permanent, full‑time role offers 80 hours per fortnight and the chance to develop your specialist career within a well‑supported, multidisciplinary environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality inpatient and specialist medical care to patients with acute and complex presentations across the General Medicine service.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and regional/rural health services to deliver integrated care throughout Central Queensland.

Required profile

• Current registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia.
• Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) or an equivalent outcome for SIMGs.
• Eligibility for specialist recognition in Australia (candidates within six months of Fellowship are encouraged to apply).
