General Manager – Luxury Wellness Retreat

About the role

Elysia Wellness Retreat, a premier wellness destination in the Hunter Valley, is looking for an experienced General Manager to lead its luxury hospitality operations. Reporting to the Cluster General Manager, you will shape the strategic direction, drive financial performance, and ensure exceptional guest experiences across all service areas.

Key responsibilities

• Lead overall financial performance, including revenue generation, budgeting, forecasting and profitability.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of Spa & Wellness, accommodation, Food & Beverage and hotel services.
• Maintain the highest standards of guest service, presentation and brand consistency.
• Coach, develop and inspire a high‑performing leadership team and foster a positive workplace culture.
• Identify and execute commercial opportunities such as wellness packages, retail, and strategic partnerships.
• Build strong relationships with owners, stakeholders, the local community and the wider Minor Hotels network.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, legislative requirements and WHS standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a General Manager or senior operational leader in a premium hotel, resort or wellness environment.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of managing budgets and delivering financial results.
• Passion for luxury hospitality, wellness concepts and people leadership.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
