General Manager – Luxury Hotel in Melbourne CBD

About the role

AccorHotel is seeking an accomplished General Manager to lead Mövenpick Hotel Melbourne on Spencer, a 172‑room upscale property in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD. You will own the hotel’s operational excellence, commercial performance, guest experience and team culture.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the hotel’s business plan, maximizing revenue, yield and profitability across rooms and F&B.
• Oversee daily operations, ensuring premium service standards and signature brand moments such as the Chocolate Hour are flawlessly executed.
• Recruit, mentor and develop a high‑performing team of Heartists, fostering an inclusive and engaged culture.
• Build trusted relationships with asset owners, regional corporate teams and local partners.
• Protect and enhance the property through disciplined maintenance, capital planning, risk management and data‑driven service improvements.

Required profile

• Proven track record as a General Manager or senior hotel leader in an upscale, high‑volume environment.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting and driving GOP.
• People‑first leadership style, passionate about talent development and employee engagement.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills, comfortable navigating complex owner relationships.
