General Manager

About the role

The General Manager will lead day‑to‑day operations of Health Industry Training at its Aspley campus. This full‑time, on‑site position reports to the Executive Director and is responsible for delivering high‑quality accredited programs and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee staff across training and administration, fostering a collaborative workplace culture.
• Develop and implement operational plans, monitor performance metrics and drive continuous improvement in student support and program coordination.
• Manage budgets, resources and the organisation’s advanced student management system, including IT equipment and software.
• Build and maintain relationships with employers, industry partners and regulatory bodies.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience supervising multidisciplinary teams, preferably in the VET or RTO sector.
• Strong organisational and operational management skills, including planning, budgeting and process improvement.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities with students, employers and regulators.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in business management, education or a comparable senior‑management background.

Required skills

• High digital literacy with experience using training management systems.
• Familiarity with CRM tools and standard office software.
