General Labourer – Construction & Landscaping

About the role

Amentum is seeking a full‑time Labourer to join its Alice Springs team. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will support construction, maintenance and landscaping activities across the Vesta contract.

Key responsibilities

• Operate hand and power tools to perform minor construction tasks.
• Dig trenches, back‑fill holes, compact or remove earth, and mix, pour and spread concrete.
• Assist skilled tradespeople such as carpenters, electricians and plumbers.
• Carry out lawn‑care duties including mowing, trimming, edging and weed management.
• Perform general maintenance tasks like patching walls, replacing outdoor taps and doors.
• Record work activities using computer systems and adhere to safety procedures.

Required profile

• Valid HR Driver’s Licence.
• Strong commitment to safety and proven safe‑work practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
