About the role
Hastha Solutions has an urgent need for a GCP Infrastructure Engineer on a 6-month contract in Sydney, with possible extension. The role centres on architecting and migrating workloads to Google Cloud Platform.
Key responsibilities
- Lead migration of on-premises or legacy systems (DC, storage, VMs) to GCP through GCVE and/or GCE
- Architect GCP solutions covering Compute Engine, GKE, microservices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), serverless, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM, Cloud SQL and BigQuery
- Apply security best practices, including IAM, VPC Service Controls, encryption with Cloud KMS and CMEK, and container and API security
- Monitor and optimise GCP resource utilisation and billing
Required profile
- Australian or NZ citizen or PR holder only
- Strong experience architecting Google Cloud Platform
- Experience with networking (VPC, VPN, Interconnect) and security best practices
- Knowledge of GCP Foundation and Google CAF; experience with compliance frameworks
Required skills
- Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible
- Container security on GKE
