Functional Specialist - Clinical Applications

About the role

Cabrini Health is looking for a Functional Specialist in Clinical Applications, a temporary full-time position based in Malvern with hybrid working arrangements. The role suits a clinician with strong clinical knowledge who wants to develop expertise in configuring key clinical applications and improve hospital workflows. It sits within the applications team, which guides digital transformation activities.

Key responsibilities

• Support the IT leadership with advice on governance, technical considerations, KPI insights and status reporting.
• Monitor service desk tickets, resolve issues, test releases, manage accounts and take part in the yearly statutory upgrade.
• Act as a subject matter expert on projects, giving insight into applications and helping steer project outcomes.
• Support and guide clinical end users across Cabrini's multiple locations.
• Maintain expertise in clinical applications so they can sustain and improve the functionality used by clinical staff.

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration would be desired.
• Experience supporting and configuring key clinical systems, or leading clinical change introduced by workflow enhancements.
• Good understanding of MedChart and Charm would be desired.
• Highly developed communication and organisational skills.
• Experience in quality improvement activities that improved patient care outcomes and patient experience.
• Understanding of the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.
• Ability to lead and work collaboratively with IT staff and clinical areas.
