About the role
The Sun Hotel in Townsville is seeking an experienced Chef to join a friendly, energetic team led by a dedicated Head Chef. This role offers the chance to work in a fast‑paced hotel kitchen, delivering modern, innovative dishes across a variety of cuisines.
Key responsibilities
- Manage your own kitchen sections and consistently deliver high‑quality dishes throughout service.
- Ensure food presentation meets top‑quality standards and maintains visual appeal.
- Follow food hygiene regulations, applying proper knowledge and practices in daily operations.
- Work a rotating roster, covering up to five days within a seven‑day operation and approximately 38 hours per week.
Required profile
- Minimum three years of experience in a busy commercial kitchen handling diverse cuisines.
- Relevant culinary qualifications or equivalent trade experience.
- Flexible attitude with clear communication and strong customer‑service skills.
- Immaculate grooming and professional presentation.
