Cleaning Supervisor - HMAS Watson

About the role

A full-time salaried Cleaning Supervisor is sought for the Defence team at HMAS Watson in Townsville. The role leads day-to-day cleaning and accommodation services, keeping site facilities to a high standard while supporting a safe, compliant and high-performing team. It is a Monday to Friday position.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily cleaning and housekeeping services
• Manage scheduled and reactive cleaning requirements
• Develop and maintain staff rosters
• Ensure compliance with HSEQ and safety standards
• Maintain high cleaning and hygiene standards
• Support laundry, linen and accommodation services as required
• Provide customer service and engage with stakeholders
• Complete reporting, audits and stock control activities

Required profile

• Proven supervisory experience in cleaning or facilities
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently and in a team
• Ability to obtain and maintain a National Police Check and Defence Security Clearance
• Australian citizenship is mandatory

Required skills

• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• First Aid Certificate (desirable)
• Certificate IV in Cleaning Management (desirable)
