Full Stack Software Engineer – PHP & React

About the role

School Bytes is looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to help shape the future of education technology. You will work on a platform used by Australian schools to streamline finance, communication, events, and administration.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using PHP and React.
• Write clean, maintainable code and champion engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to deliver high‑impact solutions.
• Participate in sprint planning, technical design sessions, and retrospectives.
• Monitor application performance and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.

Required profile

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably in SaaS or product‑led environments.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Passion for continuous learning and staying up‑to‑date with new technologies.
