Frontend Mobile Developer – GIS Systems (Hybrid, Perth)

About the role

We are seeking a Front End Developer specialised in mobile GIS applications to join a leading consultancy on a 12‑month contract. The role is based in Perth with a hybrid work model (three days onsite per week) and focuses on delivering reliable, offline‑first solutions for the mining sector.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Android and iOS mobile applications using Xamarin.Forms and .NET MAUI.
• Implement offline functionality to ensure seamless performance in low‑connectivity environments.
• Collaborate with full‑stack developers, cloud teams and business stakeholders to deliver robust mobile solutions.
• Optimise application performance, usability and responsiveness for field‑based users.
• Participate in code reviews, testing and deployment processes to guarantee high‑quality releases.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to mobile functionality and system integrations.

Required profile

• Proven ability to code with Xamarin.NET MAUI and Azure services.
• Experience using Postman for API testing.
• GIS or mine‑planning experience is highly regarded.
• Knowledge of SAP or similar enterprise system integrations.
• Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX design principles for field applications.
• Experience working in agile development environments.
• Familiarity with offline‑first mobile architecture and synchronization strategies.

• Daily rate of $800‑$900 inclusive of superannuation.
