Frontend Developer – React & TypeScript (Sydney)

About the role

Tata Consultancy Services is looking for a skilled Frontend Developer to join its Sydney team. You will work on modern web applications, driving sustainable digital solutions for leading Australian enterprises.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive UI components using React and TypeScript.
• Implement build pipelines with Webpack, Vite, Babel, or Yarn.
• Integrate front‑end code with RESTful APIs and mock services.
• Apply component‑driven design using Storybook.
• Write unit, integration and visual regression tests (Jest, Mocha, Jasmine, Enzyme).
• Debug performance issues and optimise page load times.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in React, modern JavaScript (ES2015+), TypeScript, HTML, CSS/SCSS and Bootstrap.
• Hands‑on experience with frontend build tools (Webpack, Vite, Babel, Yarn) and linting.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, component‑driven design and Storybook.
• Experience with testing methodologies (TDD, unit testing, visual regression).
• Excellent debugging and performance‑optimization skills.
• Experience with Contentful or other headless CMS is a plus.
