Front of House Staff - Hallett Cove

About the role

A fast-food restaurant in Hallett Cove is looking for friendly, outgoing team members to work in the front of house. You will take customer orders, pack them, keep the restaurant clean and make sure items are well stocked. Experience in the food industry is not essential; a good personality and willingness to learn are enough.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, advise on the fast food and drink range and take their orders with a smile.
• Receive and confirm walk-in, telephone and online orders, and inform the relevant staff of food and beverage requests.
• Prepare orders from delivery partner platforms, online and phone orders within the required time frame.
• Assist in preparing dishes and deliver complete orders to dine-in guests and takeaway customers promptly and accurately.
• Promote specials and operate the Redcat point-of-sale system and EFTPOS machine.
• Use store equipment such as the coffee machine, display fridges and dishwasher.
• Follow GMP/GHP policies, health and safety regulations including FIFO, and general cleaning tasks as directed.
• Notify the store manager or shift supervisor of issues that could require corrective action.

Required profile

• Great communicator and customer service focus.
• Experience in fast-paced fast food preparation and service, and in point-of-sale systems.
• Appropriate food handling certificate.
• Team player with a positive attitude to dealing with people.
• Ability to cope with conflicting demands, prioritise tasks, manage time effectively and follow quality assurance and operational processes.

Required skills

• Operating Redcat (point of sale) and EFTPOS machines.
• Understanding of food standards and WHS requirements.
• Ability to communicate at different levels depending on the situation.

Performance is measured by brand standards and a minimum 90% customer satisfaction rate, covering wait times for ordering and collecting food.
