Front Desk All Rounder

About the role

The Front Desk All Rounder is the primary point of contact for guests at Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour, delivering personalised service with elegance and warmth. You will create seamless arrival and departure experiences while upholding the hotel’s standards of excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests upon arrival and departure with professionalism and attention to detail.
• Manage guest accounts, cashiering functions and ensure accurate transaction handling.
• Operate the Opera Front Desk system to maintain detailed guest profiles and process reservations.
• Anticipate VIP arrivals, special requests and group movements, coordinating with relevant departments.
• Handle telephone enquiries and communicate clearly with guests and team members.
• Collaborate with the Front Desk Supervisor and Duty Manager to support smooth daily operations.

Required profile

• Polished personal presence with a genuine “can‑do” attitude.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate guest needs.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining composure.
• Commitment to delivering memorable, high‑quality guest experiences.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Opera Front Desk system.
