FP&A Manager

About the role

This is a seven‑month contract opportunity for an experienced FP&A professional to join a large, nationally recognised organisation operating across Australia. Reporting to senior finance leadership, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial performance, delivering commercial insights and supporting strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities across multiple operational areas.
• Deliver insightful monthly reporting, analysis and commentary to senior stakeholders.
• Provide commercial support around operational performance, cost management and working capital initiatives.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning and business performance.
• Partner closely with operational leaders to identify risks, opportunities and improvement initiatives.
• Support executive‑level reporting and broader business planning cycles.
• Drive continuous improvement across reporting processes, systems and financial controls.
• Contribute to finance transformation and systems enhancement initiatives.
• Lead and mentor a small finance team.

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualified finance professional with experience in large, complex organisations.
• Commercially minded with the ability to translate financial information into meaningful insights.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience in industrial, manufacturing, infrastructure, resources or similar operational sectors is highly regarded.
