FP&A Analyst – Financial Planning & Analysis

Join one of Australia's leading residential builders and make a real commercial impact by partnering with senior leaders and influencing key financial decisions across a diverse and dynamic business. This permanent position is based in our Docklands head office.

Key responsibilities

• Support the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.
• Produce insightful financial analysis and performance reporting for senior leadership.
• Develop financial models and scenario analysis to support commercial decision‑making.
• Assist with business planning, target setting and KPI reporting.
• Maintain and improve central cost allocation models across the business.
• Prepare executive presentations and dashboards that provide clear, actionable insights.
• Partner with Finance Business Partners and operational stakeholders to identify risks, opportunities and performance improvements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across finance systems and reporting processes.

Required profile

• Commercially minded finance professional who enjoys a collaborative environment and turning complex financial information into meaningful business insights.
• Previous experience in an FP&A Analyst or similar commercial finance role.
• Experience delivering budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling, Power Query, and the ability to automate and improve reporting processes.
• Experience using Power BI or other data visualisation tools (highly regarded).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability with the ability to interpret large data sets and identify trends.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and present financial information to both finance and non‑finance audiences.
• CA, CPA or equivalent qualification.
