Forklift Operator (5-Tonne) / Yardhand

About the role

A well-established Western Australian-owned supplier to the construction and building industry is looking for an experienced Forklift Operator on a temp-to-permanent basis. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will work in a busy outdoor supply yard supporting daily production and dispatch. It is a hands-on role for reliable, safety-focused people who enjoy physical work and operating plant equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Strap, wrap and prepare bricks onto pallets for transport
• Operate 5-tonne forklifts to move, load and unload product
• Load and unload trucks in line with delivery schedules
• Perform manual handling and general labouring duties
• Carry out general housekeeping and maintenance around the yard

Required profile

• Previous forklift operating experience in a yard, warehouse or production environment
• Current LF Forklift Licence and current driver's licence with reliable transport
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen
• Strong work ethic, reliability and teamwork; good awareness of safety procedures and manual handling requirements

What we offer

• Outdoor-based role, Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays, 6:00am to 2:00pm
• Pay of $39.03 per hour plus penalties after 7.6 hours worked
