Forklift Driver / Store Person

About the role

A client, a manufacturer and distributor of mobile garbage bins and waste management solutions supplying councils and businesses across Australia, is hiring a Forklift Driver / Store person in Sumner, QLD. The role sits in a busy warehouse and covers safe forklift operation, stock handling and general warehouse duties. The roster is Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 2:06pm.

Key responsibilities

• Operate an LF forklift safely and efficiently
• Pick and pack customer orders
• Load and unload trucks and trailers
• Palletize and shrink-wrap stock
• Maintain accurate stock control and inventory organisation
• Perform general warehouse and store person duties
• Keep work areas clean, safe and organised
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times

Required profile

• Current LF forklift licence and proven forklift operating experience
• Previous warehouse or store person experience
• Strong knowledge of safe work practices
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
• Reliable transport and a current driver's licence
• Full working rights within Australia
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, able to work independently and as part of a team
