Food Safety & Quality Technologist

About the role

Join General Mills Australia’s state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing plant in Rooty Hill as a high‑energy Food Safety & Quality Technologist. You will champion world‑class standards, drive continuous improvement in food safety and quality, and help shape a culture of excellence for products enjoyed by millions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide production line support and conduct daily reviews.
• Assist with corrective actions and conduct required sampling and testing of raw materials, products, machinery and production areas.
• Perform product testing and sensory evaluations.
• Conduct internal GMP audits monthly and support other internal audits such as HACCP, calibrations and pest control.
• Manage retention samples and maintain the laboratory area to 5S standards.
• Ensure compliance with EH&S and injury management policies as outlined in the General Mills EH&S Manual.

Required profile

• 2+ years experience in a Food Safety & Quality team within a multinational consumer food company.
• Degree in Food Science & Technology, Engineering or a related technical field.
• Experience in a multicultural environment and familiarity with food, beverage or FMCG sectors.
• Strong verbal communication and relationship‑building abilities.
