Fleet Coordinator

About the role

Ampol Petroleum Distributors is looking for a Fleet Coordinator to join its Toowoomba Depot team. Reporting to the Territory Manager, the role supports the safe, efficient and compliant operation of the tanker fleet and driver workforce across a multi-depot region, and also supports the Distribution Operations Coordinator with depot administration, compliance activities and operational processes.

Key responsibilities

• Customer service and managing customer inventory
• Managing driver inductions, medicals and other administrative requirements
• Providing operational information and directions to drivers
• Supporting the planning and coordination of fleet movements
• Managing the administrative side of tanker truck compliance activities
• Acting as weekend, backup and relief scheduler for the Fleet Supervisor
• Monitoring HSSE processes and practices within the depot
• Ensuring Ampol complies with all applicable laws and regulations

Required profile

• Strong customer service and administration background
• Scheduling experience is highly desirable but not essential
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a team and independently
• Understanding of the National Heavy Vehicle Regulations is desirable but not essential

Required skills

• Intermediate computer literacy
• Fleet scheduling (highly desirable)
