Fleet Controller – Mining Operations

About the role

Thiess is looking for an experienced Fleet Controller to join the Peak Downs Mine team. You will be responsible for real‑time dispatch and optimisation of the mining fleet, ensuring resources are used efficiently to meet production targets.

Key responsibilities

• Dispatch mining equipment and personnel in real time to maximise utilisation.
• Utilise fleet monitoring systems and tools to their full capacity.
• Prioritise conflicting demands and manage short‑interval controls and plan deviations.
• Apply advanced knowledge of the haul cycle and continuous‑improvement strategies.
• Liaise with mining, maintenance and other stakeholders to meet production and delivery goals.

Required profile

• Proven experience controlling large mining fleets.
• Commitment to health and safety in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to follow procedures while seeking improvement opportunities.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Current C‑class driver’s licence.
