Fleet & Acquisition Manager

About the role

Raytheon Australia is seeking a Fleet & Acquisition Manager to join its Joint Gas Support & Test Equipment (JGSTE) Program. The role covers the strategic planning, procurement, lifecycle management and disposal of fleet assets so that the Australian Defence Force's Support & Test Equipment Fleet remains operationally ready, compliant and cost-effective. It is a hybrid position based in Cannon Hill, Queensland.

Key responsibilities

• Manage customer and stakeholder relationships and engagement
• Plan, control and report on project activities and deliver contractual requirements
• Manage project resources and budget requirements
• Develop proposals, including planning, scheduling and estimating
• Contribute to company growth strategies and identify and manage risks and opportunities
• Lead a team responsible for fleet management, procurement and asset lifecycle activities
• Advise on asset sustainment, capability requirements, risk management and continuous improvement

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Program or Business Management, or equivalent experience
• At least 5 years' experience in a defence project management role or relevant experience
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a baseline security clearance

• Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performance team
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence stakeholders and deliver on budget and schedule
