Financial Controller – Millbrook, Victoria

About the role

The Financial Controller will work closely with the CFO, CEO, COO and the broader leadership team to strengthen financial discipline, provide commercial insight and support operational performance for a leading Australian spring water supplier.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly management reporting, annual financial statements and board reporting processes.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis across the business.
• Deliver commercial insights, including route and customer profitability analysis.
• Analyse operational costs for fleet, fuel, maintenance and logistics.
• Strengthen financial controls, compliance (ATO, accounting standards, HACCP) and governance frameworks.
• Manage cash flow, working capital and assist with capital investment decisions.
• Lead and develop a small finance and administration team.

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualification.
• Proven experience in a Financial Controller or similar senior finance role.
• Hands‑on, commercially aware with a solutions‑focused mindset.
• Ability to bring structure to complexity and engage stakeholders with clarity.
• Collaborative leadership style suited to a small, close‑knit team.
