Financial Controller

About the role

MIRAIT Technologies Australia is looking for an experienced Financial Controller to lead the finance function, provide commercial insight and ensure robust financial governance across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Manage monthly and annual financial reporting, consolidation and ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards.
• Lead the annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes in partnership with senior leaders.
• Oversee cash flow, working capital, banking relationships and funding for operational and capital needs.
• Provide analysis of financial performance, trends and risks to support executive and board‑level decisions.
• Maintain internal control, governance and internal audit frameworks, and drive continuous improvement in finance systems and processes.
• Lead, coach and develop a finance team of three, fostering accountability and efficiency.

Required profile

• CA/CPA or equivalent recognised professional qualification.
• Strong experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and statutory compliance.
• Sound knowledge of Australian accounting, taxation and regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to work effectively with senior leaders, operational teams and international stakeholders.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
