Financial Controller – Alternative Investments

About the role

We are seeking a Financial Controller to join a fast‑growing alternative investment platform backed by a leading listed investment group. This role offers broad exposure to investment finance and the chance to shape a scalable finance function as the business accelerates.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial control and reporting across the organisation.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, management reports and commercial analyses.
• Manage cashflow, liquidity and provide financial oversight for new business initiatives.
• Partner with senior stakeholders in finance, investments and operations.
• Drive process improvements, automation and the development of a scalable finance function.
• Support board reporting, audit, compliance and key external relationships.

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualified with strong technical accounting capability.
• Experience in funds management, lending, alternative investments or similarly complex environments.
• Enjoys improving processes, building capability and thriving in a growing, entrepreneurial business.
• Commercial curiosity and confidence to influence senior stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑growth setting.
