Finance Officer

About the role

Bega Group is looking for a Finance Officer to join its Operations Finance team at the Ridge Street cheese manufacturing site in Bega. The role supports financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, works 3 days per week with flexibility around working days, and partners with site stakeholders to help drive business performance. The site operates in contract manufacturing for packaged, natural and processed cheeses, including Bega cheese blocks.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver accurate financial reports, analysis and business insights
• Support budgeting, forecasting and month-end reporting activities
• Maintain financial records and ensure compliance with internal controls and processes
• Partner with operational teams to provide financial support and guidance
• Identify opportunities to improve process and reporting efficiency

Required profile

• Experience in a Finance Officer, Accounts, Assistant Accountant or similar role
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Collaborative approach with excellent communication skills
• Proactive, organised and eager to learn

Required skills

• Proficiency in Excel
• Financial systems and ERPs
