Finance Officer – ATO Finance Business Line

About the role

The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) is looking for experienced Finance Officers to join a variety of teams within its Finance Business line. You will support financial and accounting activities, provide insight and advice to stakeholders, and help improve resource management across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform financial and accounting tasks in line with established guidelines and procedures.
• Provide decision support, insight and advice to internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage departmental accounts, corporate credit cards, travel administration and finance systems.
• Support budget management, forecasts, reconciliations, reporting and accruals.
• Assist with SAP Finance platform operations and finance transformation initiatives.

Required profile

• Basic understanding of finance and accounting principles.
• Ability to prioritise work, meet competing deadlines and liaise with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Commitment to inclusive and diverse workplace practices.
