Finance Manager

About the role

Innocean, a global agency network with 31 offices and more than 3,000 employees, is hiring a Finance Manager in Sydney. The role oversees the financial operations, group reporting and compliance obligations of the business so that short- and long-term decisions are financially sound. It owns the month-end close, balance sheet integrity and overhead control, prepares the consolidation reporting pack for HQ and leads and develops the finance team. Flexible working is offered.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the finance team, set priorities, review work of the Financial Accountant and Junior Financial Accountant, and document key processes
• Deliver the month-end close on time, including general ledger, balance sheet reconciliations and P&L statements, and prepare management reports with variance analysis
• Own cash flow forecasting, budgeting, reforecasting and working capital; maintain the fixed asset register, prepayments and accruals, and apply IFRS 16 lease accounting
• Own overhead control, from budget-to-actual tracking to challenging spend with budget holders
• Prepare the consolidation reporting pack for HQ, reconcile related party and intercompany transactions, and manage the external audit process
• Handle tax and compliance: monthly BAS, annual FBT, company income tax, transfer pricing documentation, BEPS Pillar Two and Country by Country reporting
• Partner with client account service and production teams on job and campaign cost management, profitability reviews and timely job closure
• Improve finance processes, stay up to date on accounting standards and ensure safe, compliant work environments
