Finance Manager – APAC

About the role

Our client is seeking an experienced Finance Manager for the APAC region to lead the financial operations of its Australian entity while supporting a growing international business. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this hands‑on role is ideal for a technically strong finance professional with a background in manufacturing, inventory and project accounting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Manage month‑end close and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow planning.
• Oversee manufacturing cost accounting, including standard costing and variance analysis.
• Manage inventory accounting across multiple locations, including stocktakes and reconciliations.
• Monitor project/job costing, profitability and reporting.
• Support intercompany, foreign‑currency and selected international finance activities.
• Maintain strong financial controls and support audit, tax and statutory compliance.
• Partner with operations, manufacturing, procurement and sales to provide financial insights.
• Drive process improvement, reporting enhancements and ERP optimisation.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• CPA or equivalent qualification preferred.
• 10+ years of accounting experience, including senior finance responsibilities.
• Strong experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Solid understanding of standard costing, inventory accounting and project/job costing.
• Experience preparing financial statements and managing month‑end processes.
• Experience working in an international or multi‑entity business is highly regarded.

• Advanced Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems.
