Finance Manager – $150k‑$160k + Super (North Sydney)

About the role

The Finance Manager will lead a team of five, overseeing financial planning, reporting, cash flow, inventory and statutory compliance for an iconic global brand in North Sydney. Reporting to the General Manager of Finance, you will work closely with the Managing Director and senior leadership team.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly results accurately and meet reporting deadlines.
• Review balance‑sheet values, perform reconciliations and manage receivables, cash flow and banking relationships.
• Fulfil J‑SOX auditor duties and ensure compliance with SEC requirements.
• Lead finance projects such as process improvement, cost optimisation and SAP upgrade preparation.
• Advise senior management on group accounting policies and monitor implementation.
• Maintain financial records in line with company policy, accounting standards and legal requirements.
• Coordinate the annual external audit and prepare statutory accounts.
• Oversee tax compliance, inventory controls, and revenue/expense forecasting and budgeting.
• Mentor and manage a team of five, conduct performance appraisals and provide regular feedback.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience as a Finance Manager in a multinational environment.
• Experience with SAP or a comparable large ERP system and exposure to BI or financial‑modelling tools.
• Commercial background in sales and distribution, preferably within a multinational group.
• Hands‑on experience with SOX/JSOX reporting.
• Proven people‑leadership skills and ability to align financial strategy with business goals.
• Degree in accounting with CA or CPA membership.
