Finance Business Partner

About the role

A purpose-driven organisation making a real difference across Australia is looking for a Finance Business Partner to report to a senior finance leader. The role supports business units through management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and business partnering. It is a permanent placement advertised by Robert Half, based in Sydney CBD with flexible and hybrid working.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, analysis and reporting for business units
• Lead the annual budgeting process and regular forecasting cycles
• Analyse revenue, deferred revenue, work-in-progress and project financial performance
• Support month-end reporting, reconciliations and financial analysis
• Partner with operational stakeholders to give financial guidance and insights
• Deliver ad hoc analysis and reporting to support business decisions
• Contribute to process improvement and finance transformation initiatives

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualified
• Experience preparing management accounts and performance reporting
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis experience
• Exposure to project accounting and revenue recognition
• Experience partnering with non-finance stakeholders

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and financial modelling
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management
