Finance Business Partner

About the role

The Finance Business Partner will support financial performance, operational insight and strategic planning for the Linley Valley Pork business unit. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role works closely with operations, supply chain, commercial and executive teams to drive cost discipline and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecasting processes, ensuring robust assumptions aligned with operational and commercial priorities.
• Oversee month‑end close activities, including journals, reconciliations, variance analysis and preparation of high‑quality management accounts.
• Evaluate capital expenditure proposals, manage fixed assets and conduct post‑implementation reviews to ensure strong financial governance and ROI.
• Develop and maintain KPI dashboards, presenting insights that highlight risks, opportunities and performance improvement actions.
• Partner with operational leaders to analyse production performance, yields, labour efficiency, waste and other key drivers to support continuous improvement.
• Oversee stock valuations, reconciliations and cycle‑count governance across carcass, primals and value‑added products.
• Provide strategic and commercial financial support across the value chain, enabling informed decision‑making and long‑term planning.

Required profile

• Experience in management accounting, financial analysis or business partnering.
