Finance Assistant

About the role

AG Security Group is seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to join its finance team. Reporting to the Financial Accountant, you will handle a variety of accounting tasks across multiple entities, supporting both day‑to‑day processing and broader financial activities.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices and credit notes, allocate accurately and obtain approvals.
• Prepare supplier payments, reconcile statements and resolve supplier queries.
• Perform daily bank and corporate credit‑card reconciliations for multiple entities.
• Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, monitoring balances and chasing overdue payments.
• Maintain supplier accounts and financial records in Xero, and process employee expense claims and petty cash.
• Reconcile intercompany transactions, loans and fund transfers, and support cash‑flow forecasting and payroll assistance.

Required profile

• At least three years of experience in a finance or accounts role.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Proactive approach to resolving discrepancies and good communication skills.
• Sound judgement and discretion when handling confidential information.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with financial software, preferably Xero.
